The warm weather is here, and there's nothing better than cooling off with a cold brew coffee on a hot day! Although we enjoy a good iced latte or coffee, cold brew is one of the easiest ways to make a smooth cup of cold coffee that you can prepare ahead of time. So, what are you waiting for? Grab a bag of your favorite Growers Alliance Coffee and make yourself a batch of cold brew.
Grind Coffee
If you're grinding your own coffee at home, we suggest keeping it pretty coarse. Not one to grind your own coffee? Our pre-ground coffee will work just fine.
Add Water
Take a cup of your ground coffee and combine it with three cups of water. We suggest using filtered water for a cleaner, sweeter flavor.
Steep Overnight
You want to give the water time to absorb all those robust flavors from the coffee grounds, so steep your coffee for at least 12 hours. Mix your cold brew before you go to bed and wake up to delicious chilled coffee.
Strain
After letting your coffee steep overnight, it's time to strain it so you can enjoy it. You can strain your cold brew through a regular coffee filter or a fine mesh sieve.
Pour and Enjoy
Once strained, pour your fresh cold brew into a container to store in the fridge. The cold brew will last for 7-10 days in the refrigerator. Enjoy your cold brew over ice with your favorite creamer or syrup!
If you find that you've made too much cold brew or you just like an extra-strong cup of coffee in the morning, we suggest pouring some of the brewed coffee into ice cube trays to use in your morning iced coffee!
