Pumpkin Spice Latte at Home

October 01, 2020

The weather is finally cooling down, and it's starting to feel like fall in Florida. Now that we've been experiencing some cooler days, there's no better time to indulge in one of our favorite fall treats, a Pumpkin Spice Latte. Here is a simple pumpkin spice syrup to make at home so you can enjoy a Pumpkin Spice latte or coffee every morning!

  • 1 ½ cup sugar
  • 1 ½ cup water
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/3 cup pumpkin puree fresh or canned

  1. Add water and sugar to a saucepan and simmer until sugar is dissolved.
  2. Stir in cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, vanilla, and pumpkin puree and let simmer 15-20 minutes on low heat, stirring occasionally.
  3. Remove pumpkin mixture from heat and strain through sieve or cheesecloth.
  4. Store in an airtight container and store in fridge. Pumpkin Spice syrup can be stored up to 7 days in the fridge.

Once you have this tasty syrup in your fridge, you can enjoy a delicious Pumpkin Spice latte in the comfort of your own home any day of the week. To make your latte, you will need ½ cup of the milk of your choice, freshly brewed Growers Alliance Coffee, and your homemade Pumpkin Spice syrup. Fill your mug 3/4 of the way with frothed milk, place the desired amount of your homemade syrup in the milk, and top off your mug with your favorite Growers Alliance coffee. Top your homemade latte with a dollop of whipped cream or give it a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice for an extra burst of flavor.

Everyone loved a Pumpkin Spice latte so this syrup makes a great hostess gift or treat to bring to that upcoming holiday gathering. Pour syrup mixture into a standard mason jar and finish it off with a festive ribbon to gift to family and friends!
